This is some great information (just in case you missed it this past weekend). Luckily, it looks like this road widening won’t have an effect on day to day activities and holiday shopping!

After you’ve finished stuffing yourself with turkey on Thanksgiving, people all around us will be gearing up for the upcoming Christmas season (not that it hasn’t been in stores for months now).
Saturday, November 26th, you and your family can join Santa, Mrs. Claus and more at the town’s official Christmas tree lighting at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina off of Shelter Cove Lane.
Get more information on the Christmas tree lighting.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week; where has the fall gone.
Every year a lot of people ask where they can eat on Thanksgiving Day. I’ve heard of a few restaurants offering a nice menu, but I would love for you to share more restaurants that you know of.
Robert Irvine’s Eat will be offering Thanksgiving dinner from 1pm-5pm; call for more information or reservations.
The Chart House will also be offering a Thanksgiving meal.
What other restaurants are offering a Thanksgiving meal? Please share here!

Jane and I were out at our farm in Estill, SC on Friday night around 9pm. We got in the car to drive the 45 minutes to Hilton Head and the outside temperature was 39 degrees.
Despite the fact that we were driving at night and the temperature should have dropping, as we got closer to Hilton Head the temperature was rising – to almost 50 degrees.
I like to think of it as the “water bottle effect” – living on an island we are insulated from some of the weather experienced on the mainland – it is generally warmer in the winter and it is normally a little cooler in the summer.

Yesterday I got a call from a client interested in selling his house and he was asking about the market. After we talked for a few minutes he said that any time you have too much of anything it affects pricing. I’m really surprised more people don’t understand this concept.
It’s true in any commodity – corn, soy beans, gas – inventory affects pricing. My client fully understood this concept even though he didn’t put it in these exact words.
