Good news!  We had 64 homes sell in June of 2009 compared to 46 home sales in 2008.

For the 2nd quarter, Hilton Head Island home sales were 201 in 2009 versus 157 in 2008. 

Part of the job of a Realtor is trying to give people advice on when sales are bottoming out.  This is good news because people are buying.

The median sales prices was $649,000 in 2008 and $589,000 in 2009 which leads us to believe that the lower end of the market is stronger than the upper end and prices have decreased.

These are all good signs that now is a good time to buy.  People always say, “when is the market going to turn around?”  Nobody knows for sure, but the proof is in the numbers.
